HLP M Piper Montreal CNR Caboose Lantern with burner.

The lamp has the mark H L P M on the top for Hiram L. Piper Montreal. On the sliding panel door it is marked Piper Montreal and CNR for Canadian National Railway. The burner it is marked Piper Montreal and around the top of the burner it reads Adlake long time burner.

H. L. Piper was the official distributor and manufacturer for Adlake products in Canada. The company was in business from 1902 to apparently sometime in the 1990s. However, it moved its operations to Montreal in 1978.
